About me
Hello, I’m Aleanbh, a midwife, tongue-tie practitioner, and antenatal educator with almost two decades of experience in maternity care. Over the years, I’ve worked in hospitals, community services, and private practice, giving me a deep understanding of the many paths pregnancy and birth can take.
My passion is providing woman-centered, holistic care that empowers families to make informed decisions and feel supported every step of the way. Whether through antenatal education, homebirth midwifery, or postnatal support, I aim to create a calm, reassuring space where families feel listened to and cared for.
I also specialise in infant feeding and tongue-tie assessment and treatment, supporting parents and babies in those crucial early days. In addition, I’ve been privileged to volunteer with AIMS Ireland, offering a listening ear and guidance for women reflecting on their birth experiences.
Beyond clinical care, I have been involved in advocacy groups, taught hypnobirthing, and led workshops to promote positive, evidence-based approaches to pregnancy and birth. Coming from a mixed heritage and learning both French and Italian as an adult, I love connecting with families from diverse backgrounds.
At the heart of my work is a belief that every woman deserves compassionate, respectful, and empowering care. My goal is to walk alongside you on this journey — offering not only medical expertise but also emotional support, reassurance, and encouragement as you welcome your baby into the world.
